Logan Couture re-signs ***Updated***

Per David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News, Logan Couture has signed a two-year contract extension with the San Jose Sharks, the financial details of which have not yet been disclosed. However, based on the Sharks recent history of contracts with younger players such as Joe Pavelski and Devin Setoguchi, conventional wisdom is that the Logan Couture’s contract could come in at anywhere between 5M to 8M over two years.

***Update*** The contract is for two years and 5.75M total, for a cap hit 2.875M. This is an excellent deal for the team (and likewise a pretty bad deal for Logan Couture, but if he’s happy so are Sharks fans).
